Today is my two month anniversary of living in Paris, and while I still have soooo much to explore, learn, and see – I’ve managed to find a few favorites so far that I’m happy to share with you!

Bread.

If you’ve been to France before, then you know that they do carbs the best. I’ve gotten into the Parisian habit of a baguette a day – my waistline isn’t happy, but my tastebuds are. Baguettes, lemon tarts, almond croissants, quiches, chouquettes, apple tarts…I am in carb heaven. That being said, not all bread is created equal. There are TONS of amazing bakeries around Paris, my personal favorite for a quick treat has a few locations around Paris – Maison Landemaine. Go there, thank me later.

Drinks.

France is known for wine, and you can find great wine all over. However, there is also a great cocktail and mixology scene. A couple of my favorite tourist friendly hangouts are The Little Red Door and Prescription Cocktail Club. I’m a tequila or gin gal myself, but you really can’t go wrong with anything, and feel free to ask them to make you something custom.

Crêpes.

J’adore les crêpes! I love a good crêpe, sweet or savory (often times the savory ones are actually galettes with a slightly different taste/texutre) I eat them all. For a sit down experience and a bowl of cider, check out Breizh Cafe in Le Marais. Get a savory galette and a crêpe for dessert (I’m obsessed with the salted caramel with ice cream – yum). For a grab and go, check out La Creme de Paris in the 9th arr, also delicious.

Brunch.

The French don’t normally have eggs with breakfast, but if you’re craving a traditional French breakfast (aka lots of french bread and coffee) AND eggs, check out Carette for their brunch set menu that will leave you more than full. It’s across the street from Trocadero (aka great view of The Eiffel Tower), so head there before or after for your own Tour Eiffel photo shoot.

Greenery.

The buildings in Paris are absolutely stunning, but the landscaping in Paris often takes my breath away. There are many parks, but so far I really love two of the most famous – Tuilleries Gardens and Luxembourg Gardens. Spend an afternoon lounging by the fountains, taking in the sites, or even go for a jog. They are often crowded, but they are so stunning it doesn’t even bother me.

Insta-Worthy.

After you grab your must have shot in front of The Louvre and The Eiffel Tower, check out Rue Cremieux and La Maison Rose for two more Insta-worthy shoot locations.

Honorable Mentions.

So obviously you didn’t come to Paris to eat Italian food, but I cannot help but recommend these two AMAZING Italian restaurants if you find yourself with a pasta craving. Check out Bar Italia and Lo Spaghettino.

I still have so much more to learn about my new home, and I’ll be sure to share new favorites as I discover them. I also highly recommending using Yelp and Trip Advisor when your visiting to find places to eat etc. The options are endless.

Au Revoir,
